The Whirlwind MIP3S Single-Gang Stainless Steel Wall Plate accepts three different types of audio inputs: XLR, 3.5mm TRS, and dual RCA. The XLR input is for professional microphones, while the 3.5mm TRS and dual RCA inputs are for consumer-grade audio devices. Each input has its own level control, so you can adjust the volume to match your speakers or amplifier. The MIP3S also has a balanced screw terminal output, which provides a more accurate and noise-free signal to your audio system. In addition, the MIP3S has a ground lift switch, which can be used to eliminate ground loops that can cause humming or buzzing.
