Description
The DiGiCo X-D-RACK-2-ST is a professional D-Rack configured with dual power supplies, CAT6 MADI connectivity, and a Multi-Mode ST Optocore interface. It provides 32 microphone/line inputs and 8 line outputs as standard, with the output section expandable to 16 channels. At 48 kHz, the rack supports up to 32 inputs and 16 outputs with the appropriate expansion module. At 96 kHz, it supports 28 microphone/line inputs and up to 16 outputs. The rack is designed for professional SD-Series live sound and production applications.
32-Channel Mic/Line Input Section
The X-D-RACK-2-ST provides 32 XLR microphone/line inputs with professional analogue front-end circuitry. The inputs offer a gain range from -10 dB to +60 dB and 48.3V phantom power for compatible condenser microphones and active equipment. Maximum input level is +22 dBu, while input impedance is 2500Ω, increasing to 2650Ω with the pad engaged. The rack provides an analogue EIN of 127 dB and a dynamic range of 113 dB for high-quality signal capture. These inputs are suitable for microphones, DI sources, instruments, and professional line-level signals.
Expandable Output Configuration
The rack includes 8 XLR line outputs as standard and provides an output expansion slot for increasing the total output count to 16. Compatible expansion options include an 8-channel analogue line output card, AES output configuration, and other supported D-Rack output modules. The maximum output level is +22 dBu for professional signal distribution. The modular architecture allows the rack to be configured according to different production requirements. Outputs can be used for monitors, loudspeaker processors, recording equipment, broadcast feeds, and other external devices.
CAT6 MADI and ST Optocore Connectivity
The X-D-RACK-2-ST combines CAT6 MADI connectivity with a Multi-Mode ST Optocore interface. The CAT6 connection provides a digital link between the D-Rack and compatible DiGiCo equipment, while the ST optical interface enables fiber-based system connectivity. The Multi-Mode Optocore interface supports 1G or 2G fiber speeds depending on the system configuration. ST fiber connectivity is useful for longer stage-to-console cable runs where optical transmission provides a practical alternative to copper. This combination provides flexible digital audio networking for professional production systems.
Dual Power Supply Redundancy
The X-D-RACK-2-ST features two internal power supplies, with one PSU acting as a redundant backup. This configuration provides an additional level of reliability for professional touring, live production, and fixed-installation applications. The rack operates from 88-264VAC at 47-63Hz with a maximum current requirement of 2.8A. Dual PSU operation helps protect the system against a single power supply failure.
Professional DiGiCo I/O Expansion
The X-D-RACK-2-ST combines high-density analogue I/O, digital CAT6 connectivity, Multi-Mode ST Optocore networking, redundant power, and modular expansion in a compact stage rack. Gain Tracking helps maintain coordinated gain control with compatible DiGiCo consoles, while the modular output architecture allows the rack to be configured for different system requirements. It is suitable for touring productions, theatres, broadcast environments, corporate events, and permanent installations using compatible DiGiCo SD-Series systems.
