The DiGiCo X-S31-DQ combines the S31 digital mixing console with a DQ Dante Rack to create a powerful and flexible professional mixing system. The S31 provides 48 mono/stereo Flexi-Channels, equivalent to 96 DSP channels, with 46 busses and 10 control groups. Its 96 kHz architecture delivers high-resolution audio with low processing latency for demanding live applications. The console combines extensive processing with a compact and road-ready control surface. The included DQ Rack expands the system with Dante-based stage I/O connectivity.
Triple Multi-Touch Control
The S31 features three 10-inch multi-touch screens that provide clear visual feedback and direct access to channel processing and system controls. Its 31 touch-sensitive motorized faders provide precise hands-on mixing across customizable channel banks. Touch-sensitive rotary encoders with integrated switches and Hidden Till Lit technology simplify parameter adjustment. Engineers can customize channel layouts using channels, auxiliaries, groups, control groups, and matrices. This workflow provides fast access to essential controls during live productions.
Powerful Mixing Architecture
The S31 provides 48 Flexi-Channels with the equivalent of 96 DSP channels and 46 busses for complex professional mixes. Its processing architecture includes compressors, gates, dynamic EQ, graphic EQ, DiGiTuBe processing, multiband compression, and internal effects. Eight FX engines provide integrated reverb, delay, modulation, and enhancer processing. The console also includes 21 assignable DiGiTuBes, 21 multiband compressors, and 21 dynamic EQs. This comprehensive processing environment minimizes the need for additional external processing equipment.
Flexible Local I/O
The S31 provides 24 mic/line inputs and 12 analog outputs for direct connection to microphones, instruments, amplifiers, and other audio equipment. It also includes AES/EBU I/O, Word Clock connectivity, GPI, GPO, DVI output, Ethernet networking, and USB audio connectivity. Two DMI expansion slots allow the console to support different digital audio formats. Compatible DMI options include Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid, analog, AES, Aviom, Hydra 2, and other supported interfaces. This flexible architecture allows the console to adapt to different production requirements.
Dante DQ Rack Integration
The included DQ Rack provides 48 inputs and 24 outputs for Dante-based stage I/O expansion. It connects to the S31 through a compatible Dante DMI interface and provides high-channel-count audio transport over a network. The DQ Rack supports 48 kHz and 96 kHz operation and is designed for touring and installation applications. Its network-based architecture reduces the need for extensive analog cabling between the console and stage. The combination creates a compact and scalable Dante mixing system.
Professional Live Sound System
The X-S31-DQ is suited to touring, theaters, houses of worship, corporate events, broadcast applications, and permanent installations. Its compact surface provides extensive processing and routing capabilities while remaining practical for transport and setup. The DQ Rack adds flexible Dante stage connectivity for larger audio systems. The S31 also supports up to 48 channels of USB audio recording and playback for recording and virtual soundcheck workflows.
