Description

The DiGiCo MOD-D2R-AES is an 8-channel AES/EBU digital output expansion card designed for the DiGiCo D2-Rack. It provides four 3-pin XLR connectors carrying eight AES/EBU digital output channels, with sample rate conversion built into the outputs. The card installs into one of the D2-Rack's two available output expansion slots.

Expanded Digital Output

The MOD-D2R-AES adds eight AES/EBU digital output channels to the D2-Rack. This allows the rack to be configured for systems requiring additional digital feeds to amplifiers, processors, recording equipment, or other AES/EBU-compatible devices.

AES/EBU Connectivity

Four 3-pin XLR connectors provide the physical output connections, with each connector carrying two AES channels. The SRC-enabled outputs provide flexible digital interfacing for professional audio systems.

D2-Rack Expansion

The card occupies one of the D2-Rack's two spare 8-channel output slots. The D2-Rack can therefore be customized with compatible output cards according to the requirements of the system.

Professional Digital Integration

The MOD-D2R-AES is designed for professional applications where additional AES/EBU outputs are required. It integrates directly with the D2-Rack and provides a compact solution for expanding digital signal distribution.

Flexible System Configuration

The D2-Rack supports two output expansion slots, allowing its standard 16 line outputs to be expanded to a maximum of 32 outputs. The MOD-D2R-AES provides an 8-channel AES/EBU option within this expandable architecture.
