The DiGiCo X-FA-TE is a robust 2U rackmount server designed to bring studio-grade VST3 software plugins into professional live sound and broadcast environments. Featuring an Intel Alder Lake i9-12900 processor, dual-redundant Dante audio connectivity, and support for up to 64 bidirectional channels at sample rates up to 96 kHz, the X-FA-TE provides powerful and reliable remote plugin processing. Its low-latency architecture delivers DSP latency down to 1 ms, while remote control from Windows or macOS allows engineers to manage plugins without needing a computer directly at the rack.
VST3 Plugin Hosting
The X-FA-TE supports Windows-compatible VST3 plugins, allowing engineers to use professional studio processing within live production workflows. Plugins can be installed and licensed offline for convenient deployment.
Dante Audio Connectivity
Dual-redundant etherCON Dante connections provide up to 64 bidirectional audio channels at sample rates up to 96 kHz. Gigabit Ethernet connectivity enables integration with professional Dante-based audio systems and compatible digital consoles.
Ultra-Low-Latency Processing
The Fourier Audio processing engine is designed for extremely low latency, with system DSP latency down to 1 ms. Plugin processes are sandboxed to help isolate individual plugin failures and maintain system stability.
Remote Control
The X-FA-TE can be remotely controlled using a dedicated application on macOS or Windows. Plugin interfaces can be accessed and controlled over the network without requiring a computer at the engine itself.
Professional Rackmount Design
The 2U touring-grade chassis features dual-redundant IEC power supplies, a front-panel OLED display, NVMe DSP storage, MIDI connectivity, and multiple USB ports for professional production environments.
