The JBL Control 424LP 2-Pack delivers smooth, full-range ceiling audio in a compact low-profile design made for installations where available ceiling plenum space is restricted. Each loudspeaker combines a 100 mm (4-inch) woofer with a 19 mm (0.75-inch) soft-dome tweeter in a two-way coaxial configuration. CRBI technology provides consistent 130° conical coverage while helping reduce on-axis hot spots and off-axis cold spots, creating a more uniform listening experience across commercial spaces.
Flexible 70V/100V & 16Ω Operation
Each Control 424LP supports both 70V/100V distributed audio and direct 16Ω operation, providing installation flexibility for commercial sound systems. The built-in multi-tap transformer offers 70V taps of 30W, 15W, 7.5W, and 3.7W, with 100V taps of 30W, 15W, and 7.5W. Each speaker provides 60W continuous pink-noise power for 2 hours and 240W peak capability, while PTC power limiting helps protect the network and transducers from occasional overload.
Compact Installation & Modern Architectural Design
The Control 424LP is engineered for restricted ceiling spaces with a low-profile enclosure measuring less than 100 mm deep, while the integrated mounting system supports a wide range of ceiling thicknesses. Redesigned terminal covers provide convenient top and side cable entry and use captive hand-screws for tool-free access. Full-face magnetic grilles provide a clean, paintable appearance and include safety tethers, while the 2-pack includes two grilles, C-rings, and tile rails for streamlined professional installation.
