The AKG C451 B Matched Pair is a professional small-diaphragm condenser microphone set based on the legendary C451 EB with CK1 capsule combination from 1969. Its detailed, airy sound and high overload capability make it a reliable choice for capturing drums, percussion, acoustic instruments, and other demanding sources.

Designed for both studio and live applications, the C451 B features a cardioid pickup pattern and can handle sound pressure levels up to 155 dB SPL. The switchable attenuation pad allows close-miking of high-energy sources, while the selectable bass-cut filter helps reduce rumble, wind noise, and unwanted low-frequency distortion.

Each matched pair is selected from thousands of individual microphones, with both microphones matched to within 1 dB in frequency response and featuring identical sensitivity. The transformerless preamp, low-noise electronics, and rugged construction provide dependable performance in demanding recording and touring environments.
