Description

The Blizzard Lighting 10G SFP-SM is a compact 10Gb/s optical transceiver module designed for high-speed serial optical communication applications. It converts serial electrical data streams into optical signals and optical input signals back into serial electrical data. The module supports bit rates from 9.95 to 11.3Gb/s and features a high-speed electrical interface compliant with the SFI specification. Its single-mode design makes it suitable for professional LED display, fiber transmission, and networking applications.

The module features a duplex LC connector and uses a 1310nm DFB laser transmitter with a PIN photo-detector for reliable optical signal conversion. It supports 10GBASE-LR/LW Ethernet, SONET OC-192/SDH, and 10G Fibre Channel applications. The hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor allows convenient installation and replacement without requiring complex system changes. Single-mode fiber transmission is supported up to 10 km, providing extended connectivity for professional optical communication systems.

The 10G SFP-SM operates from a +3.3V power supply and consumes less than 1.5W. Its compact 2.25-inch length and lightweight 0.25 lb. construction make it easy to integrate into compatible equipment and network infrastructure. RoHS compliance supports use in professional installations where environmental and equipment standards are important.
