The Elation NX3 is a professional lighting console designed around the real-world workflow of lighting programmers. Combining intuitive control, refined ergonomics, and powerful embedded processing, NX3 provides a compact yet highly capable platform for everything from smaller productions to complex, show-critical environments. It’s hardware layout works directly with ONYX software workflows, helping programmers move quickly and confidently through programming and live operation.
Advanced Playback & Programming Controls
NX3 features 10 × 60 mm motorized faders with RGB backlighting and 50 high-speed optical playback buttons, providing responsive tactile control over playbacks and cues. A dedicated Master Cuelist section, rotary Grand Master with push function, bank selection controls, and OLED bank indicator display provide fast access to essential playback functions. The programmer section adds five high-resolution rotary encoders with push functionality, a full numerical keypad, core command keys, Highlight/Preview/Next/Last controls, and 10 user-assignable F-Keys.
Immersive Multi-Touch Display System
The console integrates a folding 17.3-inch Full HD multi-touch display as its primary interface, providing direct access to ONYX programming and show-control workflows. A dedicated 4.5-inch parameter touchscreen provides additional fixture and parameter control, while support for up to three external 4K touch displays allows programmers to expand their workspace as show complexity increases.
Powerful Embedded Processing
NX3 includes an embedded 64-Universe ONYX license, providing control of up to 64 universes, 32,768 channels, and 32,768 fixtures without requiring external processing hardware. The platform also includes support for 5 DyLOS Zones, Timecode, OSC, and MIDI, making it suitable for sophisticated programming, playback, media, and show-control environments.
Professional Networking & Connectivity
The NX3 provides extensive connectivity for professional lighting systems, including four DMX/RDM 5-pin locking XLR ports, two 2.5Gb RJ45 network connections, and two 1 Gb locking RJ45 network connections. Supported protocols include ONYX X-NET, DMX512, RDM, sACN, Art-Net, OSC, Telnet, CITP, and NDI®. Multiple USB-A and USB-C connections, DisplayPort outputs, audio I/O, and dedicated LED desk-lamp connections further expand the console's integration capabilities.
