Description
The Fostex T50RPmk4 is the fourth-generation evolution of Fostex’s renowned RP planar magnetic headphone technology, developed from a platform that has been used and trusted by musicians, engineers, and recording professionals for decades. Its redesigned RP driver uses an improved printed coil pattern and an expanded magnetic circuit to provide more uniform diaphragm vibration, enhanced sensitivity, smoother frequency response, and highly accurate transient reproduction.
The redesigned symmetrical housing allows the supplied cable to be connected to either the left or right side without creating differences in sound characteristics between the two channels. A 4-pole 3.5 mm connector supports balanced connections, while the included cable uses high-quality OFC conductors for reliable signal transmission. The more efficient fourth-generation driver also requires less power from a headphone amplifier while maintaining detailed and accurate performance.
For extended monitoring sessions, the T50RPmk4 features newly designed, thicker low-resilience around-ear ear pads that provide a comfortable fit. With a semi-open design, wide 10 Hz–40 kHz frequency response, 28 Ω impedance, and 3,000 mW maximum input capability, these headphones are well suited for studio monitoring, critical listening, music production, mixing, recording, and professional audio applications.
