The JBL 308P MkIII is a powered 8-inch professional studio monitor designed for producers, engineers, content creators, and demanding production environments. Its next-generation acoustic platform combines a high-performance silk dome tweeter, redesigned 8-inch low-frequency driver, patented Image Control Waveguide, and Slipstream port to deliver detailed imaging, controlled bass, and consistent tonal balance across a wide listening area. With a frequency range extending from 41 Hz to 40 kHz and 120° x 90° coverage, the 308P MkIII provides extended low-frequency response and accurate monitoring for critical mix decisions.
The monitor features a bi-amplified 110W Class-D amplifier system with 55W dedicated to the low-frequency driver and 55W to the high-frequency driver. Maximum RMS SPL reaches 101 dB, while maximum peak SPL reaches 113 dB for powerful transient performance and increased headroom. Four onboard DSP controls provide 81 configurable room-tuning combinations, allowing users to optimize performance for desktop, stand, or wall placement while adjusting boundary compensation and high- and low-frequency response. HF adjustment at 3 kHz and LF adjustment at 300 Hz each provide -2 dB, 0 dB, or +2 dB settings.
The 308P MkIII features a ported 15 mm MDF enclosure with a matte black PVC finish, injection-molded structural ABS baffle, and 2 mm SPCC rear panel. A balanced Neutrik Combo input provides professional analog connectivity, while M4 x 8 mounting points and a 75 x 75 mm VESA pattern support flexible installation. The monitor operates from 100–240 VAC and weighs 19.4 lbs, with cabinet dimensions of 17.5" x 9.8" x 11.7".
