The JBL SRX918SF is a high-performance 18-inch powered flyable subwoofer designed to add substantial low-frequency output to professional SRX900 Series sound reinforcement systems. Equipped with a JBL 2279G-1 Differential Drive 18-inch woofer featuring dual 3-inch voice coils, it delivers powerful, controlled bass response from 35 Hz while providing excellent thermal management, reduced power compression, and wide dynamic range. With a maximum output of 134 dB SPL, the SRX918SF is well suited for touring, rental, live performance, DJ, and professional installation applications.
The integrated Class-D amplifier and advanced 24-bit DSP provide a complete plug-and-play solution with consistent performance worldwide. Its DSP platform includes 24 user-adjustable filters, up to 2,000 ms of delay, Array Size Compensation, FIR-based Throw Distance Correction, and LevelMax limiting for sophisticated transducer protection. Omnidirectional and cardioid operating modes allow the SRX918SF to be configured for different system requirements, while the rear-panel LCD provides convenient access to essential control and configuration functions.
Designed for demanding professional applications, the SRX918SF features an integrated three-point rigging system and shares the same width and suspension hardware as the SRX910LA, enabling flown and ground-stacked configurations. The reinforced birch plywood cabinet incorporates a large low-frequency port design, M20 threaded mount, dual Ethernet connectivity, Neutrik connectors, and a universal 100–240 VAC power supply. Its robust construction and scalable design make it an excellent low-frequency solution for SRX900 Series systems.
