The Mad Professor Loud 'N Proud delivers the character and response of a vintage 4-input Marshall-style amplifier in a compact pedal. Its complete amp signal path includes not only the preamp but also a simulated power amp with a phase inverter, push-pull stage, and output transformer, allowing the pedal to reproduce the feel and behavior of a real vintage amplifier. With its moderate-gain overdrive foundation, it delivers authentic vintage amp-inspired tones with plenty of dynamics and character.
To expand its tonal range, the Loud 'N Proud combines the medium-gain overdrive with a powerful pre-boost and vintage-style germanium fuzz. The pre-boost provides up to 13 dB of additional gain and adds some midrange thickness, while the fuzz delivers tones ranging from cleaner textures to thick, warm fuzz simply by adjusting your guitar's volume control. The combination of vintage germanium fuzz and Marshall-style plexi character creates a versatile range of classic-inspired guitar tones.
A dedicated character switch provides two different voicings, with the left position offering tighter bass and slightly more compression, while the right position delivers looser bass and maximum dynamics. This flexibility makes it easy to tailor the pedal's response to different playing styles, amplifiers, and tonal preferences.
