The AKG C151 is a compact small-diaphragm electret condenser microphone designed to deliver crisp, detailed audio for music recording, streaming, podcasting, and live sound applications. Its custom-engineered 16 mm capsule and cardioid pickup pattern provide focused sound capture, while the transformerless FET circuitry delivers low noise and excellent dynamic range.
With a maximum SPL of 147 dB, the C151 is capable of handling demanding sources such as drums, cymbals, acoustic guitar, piano, and electric guitar while maintaining clean and accurate reproduction. Its smooth high-frequency response makes it particularly well suited for capturing instruments and ambient sound with clarity.
The microphone features a durable body made from 100% recycled PIR metals and alloys, along with packaging and accessories designed to reduce environmental impact. The C151 also includes a microphone clip for convenient setup and integration into a variety of recording and performance environments.
