The Fostex T60RPmk2 is a premium semi-open headphone that combines Fostex’s long-established RP planar magnetic technology with a beautifully crafted solid black walnut housing. Developed as the next generation of the T60RP, the mk2 incorporates Fostex’s fourth-generation RP driver and a full-field-driven planar diaphragm to deliver accurate, detailed, and naturally balanced sound for demanding listening applications.
The fourth-generation RP driver features an improved magnetic circuit designed to optimize magnetic flux distribution, suppress unwanted diaphragm resonance, and provide fast, precise transient response. Its refined sensitivity and smooth frequency response allow subtle details across the low and high frequency ranges to be reproduced with greater accuracy, while improvements in localization and sound-field reproduction provide a more precise listening experience. The solid walnut housing adds a distinctive natural character, with each housing featuring unique wood grain and coloration.
The T60RPmk2 also offers enhanced connectivity through independent left and right 2-pole 3.5 mm connectors, making cable replacement and customization convenient. The included high-quality OFC Y-cable provides reliable connectivity, while optional balanced operation is available through the separately sold ET-RP4.4BL2Y cable. Low-resilience around-ear earpads provide a comfortable fit for extended listening, and the included dedicated pouch makes storage and transportation convenient.
