The CHAUVET Professional COLORado PXL Curve 5 is an IP65-rated RGBW LED batten featuring five independently controlled moving heads. Each head combines a 120W RGBW LED with dual linear cool-white and warm-white strobe cells for powerful beam, wash, and strobe effects. Motorized pan, tilt, and zoom provide precise control over each pixel, while integrated alignment pins help maintain consistent pixel spacing when multiple fixtures are arrayed together. Its compact batten-style design is well suited to touring, theatrical productions, concerts, festivals, and temporary outdoor installations.
Five Independent RGBW Pixels
The COLORado PXL Curve 5 provides five independently controlled RGBW pixels for creating detailed pixel-mapped effects, animated graphics, and multi-layered color washes. Each head uses a 120W RGBW LED source with an expected lifetime of 50,000 hours. The independent heads can be positioned and controlled individually to create dynamic movement across the fixture. A color temperature range of 3200 to 7500K provides additional flexibility for matching different lighting environments. The fixture delivers up to 42,172 lumens for powerful large-area coverage.
Beam and Wash Zoom
Each moving head provides a wide zoom range for changing between concentrated beam effects and broad washes. The single-head zoom range extends from 3.2° to 39.8° without strobe and from 3.2° to 145.1° with strobe. This allows each pixel to produce focused aerial beams or wide coverage effects. Motorized zoom works together with the independent RGBW heads to create layered and animated lighting looks. The flexible optical range makes the fixture suitable for both beam-focused and wash-oriented applications.
Motorized Pan and Tilt
Each of the five heads provides 60° of pan and 200° of tilt for precise beam positioning. Quick and quiet movement allows the heads to create dynamic articulating arrays and animated effects. Independent movement across five pixels provides extensive creative possibilities for stage and event lighting. Electronic dimming and shutter control provide smooth output adjustment and dynamic effects. Built-in automated programs further simplify standalone operation and programming.
Advanced Pixel Strobe Effects
Each head includes dual linear cool-white and warm-white strobe sections for additional visual impact. Eight sections of warm-white and cool-white strobe cells can be independently controlled per head for detailed pixel-mapped chases and animated patterns. The electronic strobe system operates from 0 to 25 Hz for flexible effect programming. These dedicated strobe cells add high-impact white effects without relying solely on the RGBW LED source. The result is a versatile combination of wash, beam, and strobe functionality in one fixture.
Seamless Array and Pixel Mapping
The COLORado PXL Curve 5 is designed for seamless side-by-side integration with compatible COLORado PXL fixtures. Alignment pins help maintain consistent spacing and pixel pitch when multiple units are mounted together. Consistent color blending allows fixtures to visually combine into larger continuous arrays. The rectangular head design matches the wider COLORado PXL family for a uniform appearance across a lighting rig. This makes the fixture especially useful for large pixel-mapped arrays and coordinated touring systems.
Professional Control and Weatherproof Design
The fixture supports Art-Net, sACN, DMX, and RDM for flexible professional lighting control. Four control personalities provide 120, 155, 195, or 355 DMX channels depending on the desired level of pixel and effect control. RDM enables remote addressing and troubleshooting, while NFC functionality is designed to simplify fixture configuration. IP65-rated construction protects the fixture against dust and temporary outdoor or wet conditions. IP65-rated 5-pin XLR and etherCON data connections, along with Seetronic Powerkon power connections, support reliable operation in demanding environments.
