Descripción
The DiGiCo MGB-P DiGi-Grid Package is a compact MADI-to-SoundGrid interface designed to connect coaxial MADI equipment with Waves SoundGrid networking and processing systems. It provides high-channel-count audio connectivity with ultra-low latency, making it suitable for live sound, broadcast, recording, and virtual soundcheck applications. The compact enclosure is designed for portable setups where reliable digital audio networking is required.
MADI-to-SoundGrid Connectivity
The MGB-P provides coaxial MADI connectivity through BNC connectors, allowing MADI-enabled consoles and other digital audio equipment to connect directly to a SoundGrid network. This enables audio to be routed between MADI equipment, computers, SoundGrid servers, and compatible software.
High Channel Capacity
At 48kHz, the MGB-P supports up to 112 or 128 channels of MADI I/O depending on the selected operating mode. At 96kHz, it supports 56 or 64 channels. This provides substantial channel capacity for professional recording, playback, and live processing applications.
Ultra-Low Latency Processing
The interface provides approximately 0.8 ms of latency, allowing audio to be routed through SoundGrid systems for real-time plugin processing. When combined with a SoundGrid DSP server and compatible Waves software, users can process large numbers of channels while maintaining low system latency.
Flexible Recording and Playback
The MGB-P can connect directly to a computer for high-channel-count recording and playback. It can record up to 128 channels while simultaneously providing playback, and it can support recording to two computers simultaneously for applications such as virtual soundcheck and backup recording.
96kHz Operation
For systems requiring higher sample rates, the MGB-P can operate at 96kHz. At this sample rate, the interface supports up to 64 channels of recording and 64 channels of simultaneous playback, with support for both single-wire and double-wire MADI operation.
Flexible Clock Synchronization
The MGB-P supports multiple synchronization sources, including Word Clock input, MADI, SoundGrid synchronization over Ethernet, and its internal clock. This allows the interface to integrate into a variety of professional digital audio systems.
Portable Professional Design
With dimensions of approximately 5.83 × 4.17 × 1.14 inches and a weight of only 0.88 lb, the MGB-P is designed for compact and portable production systems. Its small footprint makes it practical for touring rigs, mobile recording, broadcast, and temporary installations.
