The DiGiCo X-D2-AN-M is a 9U D2-Rack designed for professional live sound systems requiring high channel capacity and reliable MADI connectivity. It provides 48 analogue microphone inputs and 16 analogue outputs as standard, with two expansion slots available for increasing the output capacity to 32 channels. The rack supports BNC MADI connections and high sample rates up to 192 kHz.
High-Channel Analog I/O
The D2-Rack provides 48 XLR microphone inputs with 48.3 V phantom power and 16 XLR line outputs. The two available output expansion slots can accommodate compatible Line Output, AES Output, or Aviom modules, allowing the rack to be configured for different production requirements.
Flexible MADI Connectivity
The X-D2-AN-M features dedicated MADI Main and Auxiliary BNC connections. The dual MADI ports can be used for rack sharing between compatible DiGiCo SD Series consoles at 48 kHz or for digital splits to recording systems. Combined MADI operation supports high-definition 96 kHz connectivity without reducing the available I/O.
High-Resolution Audio
The rack supports 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz sample rates. Its analogue and digital circuitry provides professional audio performance with a maximum input level of +22 dBu and maximum output level of +22 dBu. System delay is approximately 2 ms at 48 kHz and 1.1 ms at 96 kHz.
Expansion and Configuration
Two output expansion slots provide flexibility for increasing the standard 16-output configuration to as many as 32 outputs. Compatible expansion options include 8-channel line output, 8-channel AES output, and 16-channel Aviom modules. The rack is also available in different input configurations, although the X-D2-AN-M version is configured with 48 analogue microphone inputs.
Reliable Professional Operation
Dual redundant power supplies provide additional protection for mission-critical live productions. The rack includes an LCD menu screen and four menu buttons, while locked controls help prevent accidental configuration changes. Gain Tracking and an internal oscillator further support reliable operation and system setup.
