Integrated Waves SoundGrid
Built-in Waves SoundGrid compatibility gives engineers access to low-latency Waves plugin processing directly within the mixing environment. When paired with a compatible DMI-Waves interface, SoundGrid server, and host computer, the console supports premium EQs, compressors, reverbs, and other studio-quality effects during live operation. This integration significantly expands processing capabilities while maintaining exceptional performance.
Powerful DSP Performance
The S21 delivers 48 Flexi-Channels with the equivalent of 96 DSP channels and 46 flexible buses operating at up to 96kHz. Each channel includes comprehensive processing such as compressors, gates, Dynamic EQ, DiGiTuBe saturation, Multiband Compression, graphic EQ, and premium onboard effects. Low-latency processing ensures transparent sound quality throughout complex productions. Advanced DSP resources allow engineers to build sophisticated mixes without sacrificing performance.

Two responsive multi-touch displays provide fast access to channel processing, routing, metering, and system configuration. Twenty-one touch-sensitive motorized faders are arranged across four customizable layers for efficient operation. The X-S21-WS includes 24 microphone/line inputs, 12 analog outputs, AES/EBU I/O, dual Ethernet ports, Word Clock, USB multitrack recording, and two DMI expansion slots. These expansion slots support industry-standard protocols including Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid, Hydra2, and additional analog interfaces.
