The JBL 305P MkIII is a powered 5-inch professional studio monitor designed for music creators, engineers, content producers, and modern production environments. Its redesigned acoustic platform combines a high-performance silk dome tweeter, advanced low-frequency driver, patented Image Control Waveguide, and Slipstream port to deliver detailed imaging, controlled bass, and consistent off-axis response. With a frequency range extending from 45 Hz to 38 kHz and 120° x 90° coverage, the 305P MkIII provides accurate monitoring across a wide listening area.
The monitor features 43W Class-D amplification for both the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers, providing a total bi-amplified power configuration of 86W. Its maximum RMS SPL reaches 97 dB, while maximum peak SPL reaches 109 dB for demanding monitoring sessions. Four onboard DSP controls provide 81 configurable room-tuning combinations, allowing users to optimize performance for desktop, stand, or wall placement while adjusting boundary compensation and high- and low-frequency response. HF adjustment at 3 kHz and LF adjustment at 300 Hz each offer -2 dB, 0 dB, or +2 dB settings.
The 305P MkIII features a ported 15 mm MDF enclosure with a matte black PVC finish, injection-molded structural ABS baffle, and 2 mm SPCC rear panel. A balanced Neutrik Combo input accepts professional analog connections, while M4 x 8 mounting points and a 75 x 75 mm VESA pattern support flexible installation. The monitor operates from 100–240 VAC and includes a 5.3 kg chassis with compact dimensions of 12.6" x 6.9" x 9.8".
