The JBL 8124 is a 4-inch full-range in-ceiling loudspeaker designed to deliver clear, high-fidelity sound for commercial audio applications. Its high-sensitivity driver produces strong sound levels while requiring minimal amplifier power, making it an efficient choice for basic distributed sound systems, retail spaces, offices, hospitality environments, and other installations where reliable background and foreground audio is required.
Efficient 70V/100V Distributed Sound
Equipped with a 6W transformer and multiple 70V/100V taps, the 8124 provides flexible power selection for distributed audio systems. Available transformer taps include 6W, 3W, 1.5W, and 0.75W at 70V, allowing installers to balance output and amplifier capacity across multiple loudspeakers. The 93 dB sensitivity and 130° conical coverage help provide efficient and broad sound distribution throughout commercial spaces.
Easy Installation & Clean Ceiling Appearance
The 8124 features dog-ear mounting hardware for convenient retrofit and blind-mount installations, along with an open-back design that eliminates the need for a backcan in applications where one is not required. Its contemporary sculpted grille and white plastic baffle provide a clean appearance when installed in ceilings. The speaker also supports optional mounting accessories such as the MTC-8124C C-ring and MTC-RAIL tile rails for compatible suspended-ceiling installations.
