The JBL MTC-426NC is a six-pack of optional new construction brackets designed to simplify the installation of compatible JBL Control ceiling loudspeakers. The brackets are installed before sheetrock to establish speaker locations and provide a guide for preparing the ceiling openings.
Constructed from flat sheet metal, each bracket features wings for attachment to the building structure. Pre-drilled mounting holes support common construction spacing, while additional holes can be added by the installer when required.
Once the sheetrock is installed, the bracket provides a guide for blind-cutting the speaker opening with a router-type cutting tool. The brackets can also be used to secure wiring behind the ceiling before the sheetrock is installed.
