My experience was pretty good. I was shipped a case that when opened up I saw a small hole on one side of the opened portion about the size of a q-tip head. Upon further exploration I saw that the hope perforated through the inner fabric and hard-ish protective shell. I moved the protective shell to find that the hole did NOT penetrate the outside wall of the case. I noticed that some of the inner foam protective layer around the inside edges of the case had come loose across a wide section. The glue appeared old and just gave up on sticking in place. The case itself is nice and light but will be giving the DJ808 a good ride at some point. I would like to mention that the edges/perimeter of the case will provide some good cushioning. However the area not around the edge, large surface area "sides" will not support much weight or impact if the case ran into something or something ran into the case while the DJ808 rests inside. I plan on trying to re-glue the foam edges and set side until I move the DJ808. I have NOT opened the Roland model but from the looks of it I expect to proved similar protection to the OdyUSA case. I would like to say that when checking out with the sales associate I realized that I probably didn't need 2 carry cases for the DJ808 but was given a good offer to order both cases.
