The ProX XT-SLINGR04 is a 4 ft SteelTex round sling manufactured in the USA by SpanSet for professional entertainment and stage rigging applications. Designed for easy and inconspicuous suspension of lighting, sound equipment, stage truss, and other overhead production equipment, the sling features a black cover that blends naturally into stage environments.
The load-bearing member consists of galvanized aircraft steel cable wound in an endless configuration, providing the strength required for professional lifting and suspension applications. The cable core is enclosed within a durable double-wall black polyester jacket that protects the internal cable while maintaining a lightweight and flexible profile.
A dedicated inspection window with a Velcro closure is positioned beside the capacity tag, allowing rigging professionals to visually inspect the cable core for signs of broken wires or corrosion. This inspection feature supports regular equipment checks and maintenance before use.
SteelTex round slings are widely used in entertainment rigging applications including stage truss roofing systems, stage hoists, lighting structures, and line-array speaker installations. The XT-SLINGR04 provides a compact and discreet rigging solution for professional production environments.
For safe truss rigging, the sling should be installed using an appropriate compression configuration where applicable and connected at suitable lower-cord or node points according to the truss manufacturer's requirements. All rigging should be performed by properly qualified personnel, and the applicable Working Load Limit (W.L.L.) must never be exceeded, including dynamic loads.
