The QSC LS218 is a high-output active subwoofer designed for professional live sound, portable PA systems, networked A/V productions, and fixed installations. Its efficient 5,000W Class D amplifier with Power Factor Correction drives two purpose-designed 18-inch long-excursion, direct-radiating low-frequency drivers. The system delivers extended low-frequency performance down to 41Hz and a maximum peak SPL of 141dB, providing substantial bass output for demanding applications. Its universal 100–240 VAC power supply supports flexible operation in different environments.
Selectable Omnidirectional and Cardioid radiation modes provide control over low-frequency projection, while Deep mode adds further extension for bass-heavy applications. The LS218 incorporates Acoustic Linear Phase technology to help maintain coherent performance with other QSC loudspeakers. Dante networking provides digital audio connectivity and integration with compatible Q-SYS systems, while QSC SysNav software enables users to design, configure, control, and monitor compatible loudspeaker arrays. Cardioid operation requires a minimum of two LS218 units.
The LS218 features a rugged 15mm birch plywood enclosure finished with a durable polyurea coating for demanding professional use. Four low-noise, heavy-duty casters simplify transportation, while the enclosure supports both vertical and horizontal deployment configurations. M20 threaded pole receivers accommodate compatible loudspeaker poles, array frames, and ground-stack accessories for flexible system deployment. With its high-power amplification, dual 18-inch drivers, advanced DSP, Dante networking, and durable touring construction, the LS218 provides a complete low-frequency solution for professional sound reinforcement and large-scale A/V applications.
