The Warm Audio WA76-D is a faithful recreation of the legendary vintage 76 “Revision-D-Style” FET studio compressor, delivering fast dynamic control, generous headroom, lower noise, and rich analog character. Its 100% analog discrete FET design captures the distinctive compression response of the classic Rev D circuit while adding modern features for today’s recording and mixing workflows.

Classic Controls with Modern Flexibility

The WA76-D includes traditional 76-style controls for attack, release, ratio, input, output, and metering, while expanding its capabilities with stereo linking, a dry/wet mix for parallel compression, external sidechain connectivity, selectable input impedance, and active and true-bypass operation. A variable sidechain high-pass filter helps prevent excessive low-frequency energy from dominating the compressor’s response, providing greater control over challenging sources.

Custom CineMag Transformers & Premium Components

The WA76-D features custom large-core CineMag input and output transformers based on the specifications and materials associated with the original vintage designs. Premium ceramic and electrolytic capacitors, metal film resistors, and a revised preamp stage further contribute to its accurate Rev D-style response, helping deliver a cleaner, low-noise compression experience while preserving unmistakable analog tone.
