Description
The Universal Audio UA-VOLT-2-MAX-U Volt 2 Max is a versatile 10-in/4-out USB audio interface designed to deliver professional recording performance with the character and processing associated with Universal Audio. Its two microphone preamps provide up to 60 dB of digitally controlled gain with Tone Shaping, Harmonic Saturation, and Max Compression. Classic compressor presets are tuned for vocals, guitar, and bass, providing convenient processing options while recording.
Flexible I/O & Digital Expansion
The Volt 2 Max provides two microphone inputs, two instrument inputs, two line inputs, stereo monitor outputs, and two stereo headphone outputs with one shared cue mix. ADAT or S/PDIF optical input adds digital expansion, with ADAT supporting up to eight channels at 44.1/48 kHz and S/MUX configurations at higher sample rates. MIDI In/Out connectivity supports compatible keyboards, controllers, and other MIDI equipment, while the USB hub provides an additional connection for peripherals.
Smart Recording & Mobile-Ready Workflow
Full 32-bit audio conversion with sample rates up to 192 kHz provides detailed capture for music production, podcasting, streaming, and content creation. The Smart Display provides bright visual feedback for quick channel and level adjustments, while Auto-Gain and Clip Protection help simplify recording and protect against unexpected signal peaks. A built-in talkback microphone supports communication during recording sessions, and USB bus-powered operation makes the interface suitable for mobile setups without requiring an external power supply in supported configurations. Premium UAD software and the LUNA DAW are included for a complete recording and production workflow.
