The Universal Audio UA-VOLT-4-MAX-U Volt 4 Max is a professional 12-in/6-out USB audio interface designed to provide detailed recording performance with the rich character associated with Universal Audio. Its two microphone preamps offer up to 60 dB of digitally controlled gain with Tone Shaping, Harmonic Saturation, and Max Compression. Classic compressor presets tuned for vocals, guitar, and bass provide convenient processing options for capturing polished performances.
Expanded I/O & Flexible Studio Connectivity
The Volt 4 Max provides two microphone inputs, two instrument inputs, four line inputs, two stereo monitor outputs, and two stereo headphone outputs with a shared cue mix. Its main and alternate monitor outputs support convenient speaker switching for studio monitoring, while ADAT or S/PDIF optical input allows additional digital sources and channels to be connected. MIDI In/Out provides connectivity for external keyboards, controllers, and hardware, while the integrated USB hub offers an additional connection for compatible peripherals.
Smart Workflow & Professional Recording Features
Full 32-bit audio conversion and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz allow the Volt 4 Max to capture recordings with high detail and clarity. The Smart Display provides bright visual feedback for quick channel selection and level adjustment, while Auto-Gain and Clip Protection help simplify recording and reduce the risk of unwanted signal peaks. A built-in talkback microphone supports communication during sessions, and USB connectivity provides a convenient computer-based recording workflow. Premium UAD software and the LUNA DAW are included for music production, recording, mixing, podcasting, streaming, and content creation.
