Maila Compact Line Array Speaker System
One line array. Every room you walk into.
From a hotel ballroom to an outdoor main stage, MAILA reconfigures to the room in front of you. You buy the system once and scale it as the work grows.
Come hear it before you spend a dollar.
We keep a MAILA system set up and powered in our warehouse downtown. Call ahead, bring a stick with your own tracks, and we will have it warm and ready when you arrive.
You will spend the visit with people who actually mix on this gear and run it at real shows, not a phone queue working off a script. That matters more on a system at this level than any spec sheet does.
Los Angeles, CA 90021
Built to be reconfigured, not replaced.
Most line arrays are designed for a single job. LD Systems built MAILA around the opposite idea. The same satellites and column modules ground stack for a few hundred people, then fly with up to eight boxes per side when the audience runs into the thousands.
The footprint stays slim and the cabling is hidden, so the rig disappears in a theatre and still holds the room outdoors. System power runs from 7.5 kW in the compact build up to 20 kW at full scale, which means one investment covers the corporate gig on Friday and the festival stage on Saturday.
MAILA has many faces.
What you are actually buying.
A short, honest read on the parts that make the difference, without the brochure language.
WaveAhead and SonicGuide
Five tweeters sit in front of the midrange and couple through twin waveguides, so the sound stays even from the front row to the back wall.
EasySplay
A handle on each satellite sets the splay angle from zero to eight degrees by hand, even with the box loaded. You shape coverage without tools.
SmartLink+
Satellites and amplifier connect through rails rather than loose cabling, which keeps the build fast and the stage clean.
SysCore DSP
Processing, a ten band parametric EQ, and delay are tuned per component, so the whole array behaves like one source instead of a stack of boxes.
LogoLink and the app
Wireless antennas sit inside the logo. You set the rig up from an iPad as far as thirty meters away, and it works out the satellite angles for you.
Cast aluminum build
The enclosures are unibody aluminum, light enough to fly quickly and built to survive being loaded in and out week after week.
Match the system to the venue.
Every configuration uses the same components, so you can start where you are now and step up later without starting over.
S and XXL figures are from LD Systems. The middle three are configured to your room, so we quote real numbers instead of guessing.
The whole rig runs from an iPad.
Connect once and the app finds every box on its own. From there you simulate the room, plan the satellite angles before load in, align delay, set the parametric EQ, and save a stage you can recall at the next show. Most of the tuning is done before the first cable is even run.
See it work.
