The CAD Audio 40117 Portable Desk Base for Gooseneck Microphones is designed to mount Astatic 800 and 900 series gooseneck microphones, or any third-party miniature gooseneck microphone with a standard 3-pin XLR connection. Its portable design allows quick setup on podiums, desktops, and other surfaces. A large soft-touch programmable switch provides Push-to-Talk and Push-to-Mute modes, with four operational options selectable through DIP switches on the underside. The integrated LED indicator clearly shows when the microphone is active, even in low-light conditions. For reliable audio, the base includes a rugged 7' (2.13m) four-conductor, two-shielded cable terminated with a professional 3-pin male XLR connector, ensuring balanced sound. A rubber shock-resistant base with energy-absorbing compound reduces noise caused by vibration or handling, and two keyholes are provided for optional permanent mounting.This desk base is an ideal choice for podiums, conference rooms, houses of worship, and other professional sound reinforcement applications.
