The Adam Audio A77X Near-/Midfield Powered Studio Monitor features the X-ART tweeter along with two identical 7” woofers, the same as in the A7X. With large 1.5” voice coils and powerful amplifiers, the woofers deliver both very high maximum sound pressure levels and very deep registers, though they do not cover the same frequency bands: one handles the (sub-)bass up to about 400 Hz while the other takes over most of the midrange. Each driver is powered by its own dedicated amplifier, with a 50W A/B amp for the X-ART tweeter and a 100W PWM amp for each woofer, while the front panel includes a power switch and a volume control that retains its setting.
