Description
The ADJ Protégé XM is a versatile LED-powered moving head spot luminaire. Its 350W LED engine has a native color temperature of 8000K and its precision-engineered optics deliver crisp GOBO projections and striking aerial effects with a beam angle variable between 3.8° and 44°. The fixture is packed with useful features, including CMY color mixing alongside two-color wheels, two rotating GOBO wheels, two prisms, two frost filters, and an animation wheel. It offers extensive control options for integration into any professional lighting system, including support for sACN and Art-Net as well as onboard Aria X2 wireless DMX and remote fixture management.
The Protégé XM’s advanced color system includes disc-based CMY color mixing, complemented by two color wheels, each loaded with nine vibrant dichroic filters, including a 2700K CTO filter for warm white output. Creative flexibility is enhanced further through dual rotating GOBO wheels – each featuring seven high-definition, replaceable glass GOBOs—allowing for intricate layered textures and dynamic mid-air effects. Its extensive effects engine features dual 6-facet prisms (linear and circular), which can be overlaid for complex refraction patterns, as well as two variable frost filters for smooth diffusion and an animation wheel for evolving motion graphics.
Robust pan/tilt locks, 360° continuous pan rotation, and 3-phase motors ensure easy transport as well as smooth, precise, and lightning-fast movement. Built to succeed ADJ’s popular Focus Spot 6Z, the Protégé XM sets a new benchmark for compact, high-output LED spot fixtures – ideal for medium-sized stages, venues, houses of worship, and event productions demanding both power and finesse.
Engineered for professional environments, the Protégé XM offers a full suite of modern control and connectivity options. It features both 5-pin DMX and RJ45 input and thru sockets with support for the sACN and Art-Net network protocols. It also offers integrated Aria X2 next generation wireless technology that offers both cable free DMX control and NFC-enabled remote fixture management with OTA firmware updates for quick configuration.
