Description
The AKG C114 is a professional large-diaphragm multipattern condenser microphone designed for recording, podcasting, broadcasting, streaming, vocals, instruments, and other creative applications. Its 26 mm edge-terminated, gold-sputtered condenser capsule delivers detailed and balanced sound, while the three selectable polar patterns—cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8—provide excellent flexibility for different recording situations.
The C114 features optimized transformerless FET circuitry that delivers a low noise floor, minimal distortion, and a wide dynamic range. With a maximum SPL of 145 dB, it can capture everything from quiet speech and vocals to high-output sources such as drums and guitar amplifiers. Its 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response ensures accurate reproduction across the audible spectrum.
Designed with both performance and sustainability in mind, the C114 features a modern body constructed from 100% recycled PIR metals and alloys. Its packaging and accessories are also designed to minimize environmental impact. The microphone operates on 48V phantom power, uses a locking 3-pin XLR connection, and includes a dedicated shockmount for secure and professional studio installation.
