The AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 features SonicLink, AlphaTheta's dedicated ultra-low-latency wireless technology designed specifically for DJ monitoring. SonicLink provides high-quality sound with latency as low as 9 ms, allowing DJs to monitor mixes and perform techniques such as scratching without noticeable delay. The headphones support a transmission distance of approximately 15 m in unobstructed locations.
Powerful Sound and Sound Isolation
The HDJ-F9 uses newly developed 40 mm dome-type drivers to deliver powerful and full-bodied sound with extended low-frequency response down to the sub-bass range. A bass-reflex chamber in each housing helps reproduce the attack and impact of basslines and kicks with tight, clearly defined lows. The PEEK-PU-PEEK composite film diaphragm helps suppress unwanted vibration while maintaining balanced mid and high frequencies with low distortion.
Durable and Comfortable Design
Designed for demanding DJ environments, the HDJ-F9 combines a lightweight on-ear construction with durable components. Swivel-mounted hangers and a flexible silicone headband allow different monitoring styles, including one-ear monitoring and shoulder placement. The adjustable slider is constructed from durable die-cast aluminum, while the headphones have passed international durability testing for professional use.
HEADPHONES CONNECT App
The dedicated HEADPHONES CONNECT app provides additional customization and control from a compatible smartphone. Users can adjust the Status LED color and brightness, rename the headphones, configure automatic power-off settings, and manage voice assistant functions. The built-in Find My Headphones feature can play a sound to help locate the headphones, while Android users can also use Find Hub. The app additionally provides firmware updates, tips, and support functions.
Bluetooth Multipoint Connectivity
The HDJ-F9 supports Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connectivity, allowing two Bluetooth devices to remain connected simultaneously. This makes it possible to switch conveniently between devices such as a smartphone and computer. Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair provide simplified pairing with compatible Android and Windows devices. Bluetooth supports SBC and AAC codecs for wireless audio playback.
Wired and Extended Battery Operation
The HDJ-F9 provides approximately 7 hours of SonicLink playback with the Status LED enabled and up to 9 hours with the Status LED disabled. Bluetooth playback provides approximately 13 hours with the LED enabled and up to 25 hours with the LED disabled. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours, while a 30-minute charge provides around 2.5 hours of use. A 1.2 m coiled cable is included for wired monitoring and extends to 3m.
