The CAD Audio 1600VP Variable Pattern Hanging Microphone is designed to accurately capture vocals, speech, choirs, musical performances, and more. The 1600VP features a remote with variable polar patterns and low-frequency roll-off switch. Accurately dial in the appropriate polar pattern to minimize noise and maximize clarity. The 1600VP includes 30' (9.1m) of cable and hanging hardware suitable for installing in houses-of-worship, halls, auditoriums, theaters, conference centers, etc. This microphone system has been engineered with special attention to its frequency response, sensitivity, and versatile pickup pattern control. The large-diameter, low-noise elements produce a frequency response of 40Hz to 20KHz. A selectable, recessed 80Hz, 12dB/octave high-pass filter is included to remove unwanted low-frequency energy, and its control is conveniently located on the control box.In terms of construction, the microphone head is made of commercial-grade aluminum and the control box is made of hardened steel, both manufactured in the USA. The head and box are powder-coated in a matte black finish for an unobtrusive yet stylish appearance. For mounting, up to six control boxes can be installed in a single Astatic RU1 rack unit shelf. The polar-pattern dial is positioned for easy "on the fly" adjustments and can be secured with a single "Flat Style" blank panel when rack-mounted.
