CAD 1700VP Variable Polar Pattern 56" Miniature Choir Boom Mic

The CAD Audio 1700VP is a continuously-variable pattern condenser microphone system with remote polar control, allowing users to precisely adjust the shape of the pickup pattern for best performance from a remote location. With a two-conductor shielded cable extending up to 2,000 feet between the microphone head and the pattern-control box (VPC-1), the polar pattern can be adjusted in real time without the need to change capsules, reposition the microphone, or introduce noise into the audio chain. Engineered with special attention to frequency response and sensitivity, the large-diameter, low-noise elements deliver a smooth 40Hz to 20kHz response, while a recessed 80Hz, 12dB/octave high-pass filter conveniently located on the control box removes unwanted low-frequency energy when engaged. The microphone head is constructed from commercial-grade aluminum and the control box from hardened steel, both powder-coated in matte black for a durable and unobtrusive appearance. Up to six control boxes can be mounted in a single Astatic RU1 rack unit shelf, with the polar-pattern dial positioned for easy “on-the-fly” adjustments and securable with a flat-style blank panel when rack mounted.
