The CAD Audio 901VP is a continuously-variable polar pattern condenser boundary microphone designed for professional speech and vocal pickup. Engineered to resist interference from cell phones and two-way communication devices, it ensures clear and reliable performance. The integral 80Hz, 12dB/octave high-pass filter effectively reduces unwanted low-frequency noise for improved intelligibility. Its rugged all-metal body with a shock-absorbing rubber bottom allows stable placement on various surfaces, taking advantage of the boundary effect to deliver superior signal-to-noise ratio.The 901VP features a recessed TA3M connector and includes a 30’ detachable cable terminated with a standard 3-pin XLRM connector. With its continuously-variable polar pattern, the microphone offers unmatched flexibility—allowing installers to precisely adjust pickup patterns to suit different environments. The polar pattern can be changed remotely using CAD Audio’s VPC-1 Remote Variable Pattern Control Box or controlled electronically with compatible DSP software and the 40-360 DSP cable.
