The CAD Audio D189 Supercardioid Dynamic Handheld Microphone with Travel Pouch is designed to meet the demands of professional sound reinforcement engineers and casual users alike. The D-189 features a rugged capsule with a supercardioid polar pattern. The supercardioid pattern is most effective in rejecting noise and feedback caused by monitor and reinforcement speakers. The wide, linear frequency response is optimized for reproducing vocals.
The low frequency roll-off reduces noise while a slight rise in high frequencies increases intelligibility. The shock mounted element rejects handling and structure noise while virtually eliminating the need for an external shock mount. The hardened steel grille resists damage caused by shock and rejects noise caused by plosives and sibilance. The microphone is a viable option for capturing vocals in performances, venues, houses-of worship, broadcast, schools and more.
