Chauvet DJ Core 5x1 ILS RGB+WW COB Blinder and Wash Light

The Chauvet DJ Core 5x1 ILS (CORE5X1ILS) is a linear COB LED effect light for stages, clubs, events and touring rigs that works as a pixel-mapping effect, chase, blinder or wash. It has five 35 W quad-color RGB+WW COB LEDs in a 23.6-inch bar, puts out 2,875 lumens through a wide 54 degree beam, and links up to 6 fixtures vertically with built-in tool-free hardware.

The warm white chip adds natural-looking whites to saturated color. It runs from DMX over 3-pin or 5-pin XLR, stand-alone, master/slave, from an RF remote, or as part of a Chauvet ILS show, with the separately sold D-Fi USB adding wireless control.

What can the Core 5x1 ILS be used as?

Four things: a pixel-mapping effect, a chase effect, a blinder and a wash light. Each of the five COB cells can be controlled separately for chases and pixel looks, or all five run together as a wide wash or blinder burst.

Can I join several together?

Yes. Built-in tool-free connecting hardware locks units together, and up to 6 fixtures can be linked vertically to build a taller column or larger shapes.

Can I set it on the floor as an uplight?

Yes. Its compact linear body works as a floor-mounted uplight, and it can also be built into larger lighting setups.

Does it need a DMX controller?

No. It runs stand-alone, in master/slave mode, from an RFC or RFC-XL remote, or as part of an ILS show. DMX gives you 4, 8 or 22 channels when you want full control.

Core 5x1 ILS or COREpar Q120 ILS?

Both use quad-color COB LEDs. The Core 5x1 ILS splits its output across five 35 W RGB+WW cells in a 23.6-inch bar, puts out 953 lux at 2 m through a 54 degree beam, and can pixel-map and chase. The COREpar Q120 ILS is a single 120 W RGBW COB par: 868 lux at 2 m with a 56 degree beam, or 4,639 lux with its 20 degree lens, at 4.6 lb.
