Description
The Chauvet DJ EVE E-50Z (EVEE50Z) is a compact LED ellipsoidal spotlight that throws a hard-edged warm white beam for mobile entertainers and permanent installations. It uses a 50 W, 3,500 K warm white LED with a manual 20° to 39° zoom, and measures 7,910 lux at 2 meters (6.6 ft) at the 20° setting. This listing is the black housing.
Framing shutters shape the beam, and it takes D-size glass or steel gobos and a 5.5-inch gel frame. Run it standalone, on 1 or 3 DMX channels, or wirelessly with the optional D-Fi USB. It is flicker-free on camera.

What is an ellipsoidal used for?
An ellipsoidal projects a sharp, hard-edged spot. Use the EVE E-50Z to highlight a performer, a display or an architectural detail, to cut the beam to a shape with the framing shutters, or to project a gobo pattern.
Can I project a logo or pattern with it?
Yes. It has holders for D-size glass and steel gobos (53.3 mm outside diameter, 43 mm image), plus a 5.5-inch gel frame for color.
Does it need a DMX controller?
No. It runs standalone, so you can set it and leave it. For control, it takes 1 or 3 DMX channels, or wireless DMX and Master/Slave with the optional D-Fi USB.
How far can it throw?
The manual zoom covers 20° to 39°. At 5 m (16.4 ft) it measures 1,479 lux at 20° and 508 lux at 39°.
EVE E-50Z or EVE E-100Z?
The EVE E-50Z uses a 50 W LED with a 20° to 39° zoom, measures 7,910 lux at 2 m at 20° and weighs 9.2 lb. The EVE E-100Z doubles the LED to 100 W with a tighter 14° to 30° zoom, measures 15,100 lux at 2 m at 14°, takes larger M-size gobos and weighs 12.6 lb.
