Chauvet DJ Freedom Charge 8P Transport Case for Charging 8 Freedom Par

The Chauvet DJ Freedom Charge 8P (FREEDOMCHARGE8P) is a rolling, Pelican-style charging case that holds and charges up to 8 Freedom Par Q9 or Freedom Par H9 IP uplights at the same time. It weighs 20.6 lb (9.3 kg) empty and 62.2 lb (28.2 kg) full, measures 24.8 x 10.7 x 19.3 in (631 x 272 x 489 mm), and is rated IP65.

The water-resistant, high-strength polypropylene shell has a custom molded interior, and fixed cable leads plug straight into each fixture, so you do not need individual power cords. Rugged wheels and a telescoping handle move it, and multiple child-resistant latches take padlocks. Fixtures are sold separately.

Which Freedom Par fixtures fit the Freedom Charge 8P?

The Freedom Par Q9 and the Freedom Par H9 IP, the H9 IP with its optional sleeves. For the earlier Freedom Par Tri-6, Quad-4 and Hex-4, use the Freedom Charge 8 instead.

Are fixtures included?

No. The case comes with a power cord and a Quick Reference Guide, and the Freedom Par fixtures are sold separately.

How does it charge the lights?

Fixed cable leads inside the case plug directly into each fixture, and the case plugs in with the included power cord, so all 8 charge at once without individual fixture power cords. It runs on 100 to 240 VAC and draws 304 W at 120 V.

Is the case weather resistant?

Yes. The polypropylene shell is water-resistant and the case is rated IP65.

Can I lock it?

Yes. Its child-resistant latches accept padlocks.
