Description
The DiGiCo DMI-WAVES is a professional SoundGrid interface card designed to connect compatible DiGiCo systems to Waves SoundGrid networks. It provides 64 input and 64 output channels at 48 kHz or 96 kHz through two EtherCON network connections.
Waves SoundGrid Connectivity
The DMI-WAVES uses the Waves SoundGrid protocol to transmit digital audio over Ethernet. It provides high-capacity connectivity for sending and receiving audio between DiGiCo systems, DAWs, Waves processing systems, and compatible DiGiGrid products.
Built-In Network Switch
Two EtherCON network ports are connected through an integrated network switch, allowing smaller SoundGrid systems to operate without an external network switch. This provides convenient connectivity between computers, servers, and other SoundGrid devices.
Waves Plugin Integration
The card provides integration with Waves plugins for real-time audio processing. On S-Series consoles, one network port can be connected to a computer running Waves MultiRack while the second port can connect to a Waves server.
Virtual Soundcheck and DAW Connectivity
The DMI-WAVES can be used for virtual soundcheck by routing audio between a compatible DiGiCo system and an external DAW. It also provides connectivity for DAW recording and playback over the SoundGrid network.
System Compatibility
The DMI-WAVES is compatible with DiGiCo S-Series consoles, Quantum Range consoles, SD12, Orange Box, and 4REA4. On the SD12, it can be used as a substitute for an integrated Waves port. The card can also be installed in an Orange Box for virtual soundcheck applications on an Optocore loop.
