The DiGiCo X-OB-C-D2 Orange Box is a professional bidirectional digital audio format converter designed to connect compatible DiGiCo equipment using RJ45 MADI with Dante audio networks. This special package includes one DMI-MADI-C interface card and one DMI-DANTE2 interface card, providing the necessary connections for transferring audio between the two formats. The DMI-MADI-C card uses an RJ45 CAT5e connection and supports compatible DiGiCo equipment, including D-Rack and D2-Rack systems.

The Orange Box features two DMI card slots, both populated in this configuration. The installed DMI-MADI-C card supports up to 64 channels of MADI input and 64 channels of output at both 48kHz and 96kHz. The DMI-DANTE2 card supports up to 64 input and 64 output channels at both 48kHz and 96kHz. This combination makes the unit suitable for live sound production, broadcast facilities, recording studios, theaters, and professional audio installations requiring connectivity between MADI and Dante systems.

Housed in a compact 2U rackmount chassis, the DiGiCo Orange Box is designed for professional audio environments where flexible digital connectivity is essential. Its dual redundant internal power supplies provide additional operational reliability, while its synchronization options include external Word Clock or DMI 1 Master synchronization. This special package is supplied with both interface cards preinstalled, and the cards cannot be swapped out as part of the package configuration.
