The EBS Stanley Clarke Signature Acoustic Preamp is a versatile two-channel analog preamp developed in collaboration with legendary bassist Stanley Clarke and crafted with upright bass in mind. Designed to help players manage the unique challenges of amplifying acoustic bass, it combines studio-grade signal quality with high-impedance 10 MΩ inputs, dedicated high-pass/notch filters, and flexible A/B or A+B channel operation. Channel A supports electret pickups, while Channel B features an XLR microphone input with +48V phantom power for blending an external microphone with a pickup.

The preamp provides extensive routing flexibility for professional performance and recording setups. Its effects loop can operate in serial or parallel mode, while the balanced output includes a speaker simulator and ground lift for convenient connection to front-of-house systems or recording equipment. An auxiliary input and professional-grade headphone output provide additional monitoring and playback options, while the two channels can also be used for seamless switching between different instruments.

Although optimized for upright bass, the Stanley Clarke Signature Preamp also works exceptionally well with electric bass, offering powerful filtering and tonal control for different instruments and playing styles. Its internal ±15V operating rails, generated from a standard 9V DC supply, provide ample headroom for preserving the dynamics and nuances of your instrument. A dedicated 9V DC power supply is included, making this compact preamp a flexible centerpiece for professional bass rigs.
