Designed for reliability and portability, the EKX-18S features a lightweight yet rugged 15 mm plywood enclosure reinforced with internal bracing and finished with Electro-Voice's durable EVCoat protective coating. Large slot ports minimize distortion while extending bass response, and the powder-coated 18 AWG steel grille with dual reinforcement bars protects the driver during transport and everyday use.
The passive subwoofer includes dual NL4 SpeakON connectors for dependable signal routing and an integrated M20 threaded pole mount for securely supporting full-range speakers. With a recommended 30 Hz high-pass filter, 8-ohm nominal impedance, and professional-grade construction, the EKX-18S is an ideal choice for portable PA systems, permanent installations, houses of worship, clubs, and live performance venues.
