The Fostex T60RP RP Stereo Headphones is representing the culmination of the RP series, combining wood housing with balanced connection support to deliver a new RP sound. These headphones continue the tradition of Fostex’s planar RP diaphragm (Regular Phase), renowned in professional recording studios worldwide for its accuracy and reliability as monitor headphones.
At the heart of the T60RP is the original RP diaphragm, crafted from highly heat-resistant polyimide film etched with copper foil. This is paired with a neodymium magnet driver unit, offering a wide reproduction bandwidth, excellent transient response, and the ability to handle input up to 3000 mW.
The housing is made of African mahogany wood, adding natural depth and warmth to the delicate expressiveness of the RP diaphragm. The magnetic circuit design enhances efficiency: by repelling the upper and lower magnets and sandwiching the diaphragm between them, a symmetrical magnetic flux density is achieved, ensuring outstanding linearity.
For comfort, the T60RP features low-resilience around-the-ear ear pads, designed for extended listening sessions without fatigue. In terms of connectivity, the headphones support balanced connections, allowing versatility across various listening environments. The supplied cable uses a high-quality OFC conductor, delivering crisp and highly detailed sound across all frequencies.
Additionally, three types of balanced cables are available separately: φ2.5 (ET-RP2.5BL), φ4.4 (ET-RP4.4BL), and XLR (ET-RPXLR), offering flexibility for different setups.
