Based on the open/closed hybrid heritage of the T60RPmk2, this model features a solid black walnut wood housing for natural resonance control, refined aesthetics, and a rich, dense sound signature.

Equipped with Fostex’s 4th generation RP planar magnetic driver, the T60RPmk2CL delivers deep, controlled bass, smooth midrange, and extended highs, all with exceptional accuracy. The closed-back design ensures minimal sound leakage and immersive listening, making it ideal for both professional monitoring and high-quality music enjoyment.

Solid Black Walnut Closed-Back Housing:

Crafted from solid natural black walnut, each housing showcases unique wood grain, coloration, and natural patterns. This premium enclosure not only offers a beautiful finish but also enhances the closed-back performance capturing the original sound while delivering dense, distortion-free audio. The wood’s natural acoustic properties contribute to deep bass presence and clear, airy treble.

4th Generation RP Planar Magnetic Driver:

Refined over five decades, the 4th generation RP driver features major upgrades:

Dual ‘Y’ Cable Connection:

Both earcups feature 3.5 mm connectors, adopting a newly designed dual ‘Y’ cable system. This 2-pole configuration improves compatibility with various cables and makes replacement or upgrades easy. The included cable uses high-purity OFC conductors for optimal signal transmission.

Optional 4.4 mm balanced cable (ET-RP4.4BL2Y) available separately.

Comfort & Earpads:

The headphones feature thick, low-resilience around-ear earpads for comfort during extended use. Their angled shape helps create a more spacious soundstage while maintaining closed-back isolation.
