The JBL Control 62P-WH Pair is an ultra-compact mid-high satellite pendant speaker system designed for visually sensitive commercial installations. Each speaker features a 60 mm 2.5-inch driver with a polypropylene-coated paper cone, pure butyl rubber surround, and 20 mm 0.75-inch copper-clad aluminum voice coil with a vented Nomex coil former. The compact pendant design provides a discreet installation solution for speech and mid-high music applications in restaurants, retail stores, hospitality venues, leisure spaces, and other commercial environments where appearance and sound quality are important.
Each Control 62P features a 16-ohm impedance and 50W continuous program power handling, with a recommended high-pass frequency of 150 Hz. The speakers can be integrated with Control 52 surface-mount and Control 42C in-ceiling satellite speakers, allowing consistent system design across different installation locations. For full-range operation, up to four Control 62P speakers can be driven from compatible JBL Control 50S/T or Control 40CS/T subwoofers. The external high-pass requirement allows the Control 62P to focus on mid-high frequencies while a compatible subwoofer provides extended low-frequency reproduction.
The high-impact polystyrene enclosure features a zinc-plated steel grille with powder-coat finish and removable foam backing for painting. Environmental protection exceeds Mil Spec 810 requirements for humidity, salt spray, temperature, and UV exposure, while IP44 capability provides splash-proof protection. Each speaker includes two 15-foot high-tensile galvanized steel suspension cable systems serving as main and safety suspension, with adjustable Gripple cable fasteners for flexible installation height.
