The JBL Control 128W Pair is a premium in-wall loudspeaker system designed for foreground music, critical listening, and professional commercial installations where high-performance audio and minimal visual impact are required. Each speaker features a 200 mm 8-inch polymer-coated aluminum-cone woofer with a pure butyl rubber surround for controlled and extended low-frequency response. A 25 mm 1-inch pure-titanium dome tweeter is mounted on a low-diffraction swivel mechanism with -10° aimability, allowing the high-frequency output to be directed toward the listening area. The pair provides an extended frequency range of 30 Hz to 20 kHz for detailed full-range sound reproduction.

Each Control 128W provides 50W continuous pink-noise power handling, 100W continuous program power, and 200W peak power capability. Its 8-ohm impedance supports conventional low-impedance amplifier systems, while the 2nd-order crossover network applies low-pass filtering to the woofer and high-pass filtering to the tweeter. With 90 dB SPL sensitivity and broad 180° horizontal by 160° vertical coverage, the speakers provide consistent sound distribution across wide listening areas. An optimum air cavity of 40 to 80 liters behind each speaker helps support proper in-wall acoustic performance.

The Control 128W is suitable for boardrooms, reception areas, airports, convention centers, cruise ships, retail outlets, restaurants, museums, surround locations, and other critical listening environments. Each speaker measures 13.1" x 10.1" x 4.3", with a required 11.9" x 8.9" wall cutout and support for wall thicknesses up to 1.25". A screw-down Euroblock-type connector accepts wire sizes up to 14 AWG, while the included cutout template and paint shield simplify installation. Optional WB8 rough-in frames support new-construction installation to wall studs, making the Control 128W Pair a discreet and flexible professional audio solution.
