Each speaker features a 3-inch woven-fiberglass woofer with a pure butyl rubber surround and a 0.5-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter with fluid cooling. Its broad 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and contemporary high-design appearance make the pair well suited for retail stores, restaurants, hospitality venues, health clubs, educational facilities, theme parks, music cafes, and leisure spaces.

The Control 23-1 delivers consistent 100° horizontal by 100° vertical coverage with an 86 dB sensitivity rating and 50W continuous pink-noise power handling. Direct 8-ohm operation provides 100W continuous program power, while the integrated 15W multi-tap transformer supports 70V and 100V distributed audio systems. Multiple transformer tap settings and a recommended 70 Hz protective high-pass filter provide installation flexibility while helping maintain reliable performance.

Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the Control 23-1 incorporates a high-impact polystyrene enclosure, zinc-plated grille, weather-resistant transducers, and an included InvisiBall wall-mounting system. The speaker provides IP-44 outdoor capability and can achieve IP-55 protection with the optional WeatherMax grille and protective panel covers.
